• Imipenem and cilastatin injection is used to treat certain serious infections that are caused by bacteria, including endocarditis (infection of the heart lining and valves) and respiratory tract (including pneumonia), UROLOGY tract, abdominal (stomach area), gynecological, blood, skin, bone, and joint infections.
