• Sulfasalazine is used in the  treatment of inflammatory bowel disease,  including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.  It is also indicated for use in rheumatoid  arthritis and used in other types of inflammatory
  arthritis (e.g. psoriatic arthritis and reactive arthritis
